We are very proud of the quality of the finished garden and what we achieved for our clients. More importantly they were really pleased with their new garden too, and so we’re doubly delighted!
This is the largest project we have taken on to date, but we like a challenge and were delighted when our clients chose us to transform and landscape their garden.
This is our first instalment for work completed so far.
This was a boring, empty garden and the owners wanted to transform it into a lovely space they could enjoy and nurture for years to come. Their main priorities were to make the garden more private, and to have a patio for socialising with friends and family.
We had turfed and fenced the back garden for these clients last summer, and this time they wanted to re-organise their front garden. We had a large area to work with and so as well as widening the drive we proposed making raised beds in place of the lawn to break up the space and add interest.
It’s not often that someone wants their entire garden landscaped and after a fairly lengthy design process we were thrilled that our clients chose us from numerous other companies to transform their garden.
There were 4 aspects to this project. The main one was the front garden; the second was to build a bed at the side of the house and plant it up; the third was to put in a new hedge along the side boundary of the garden and the fourth was to re-vamp a long bed at the back of the house.
This was a sizeable but unexciting garden in much need of a revamp. Our clients had extended the house and now they wanted to create a beautiful outdoor space to enjoy too.
This was a small town garden in desperate need of an update. Our clients had seen our website and liked our style, and asked us to provide them with a quote.
You may remember we posted some photos of this garden a fair while ago when we had just completed the first stage of this extensive project. Well, nearly 3 months later and we have now finished.
Our clients’ wish list included vegetable beds, somewhere to put a table and a play area for the children. However, their garden is on a steep slope and so they weren’t sure how they could achieve this. They also liked the wood retaining walls we had used on previous projects.
The garden wraps around the house on 3 sides and our client asked us to landscape the front areas. The main aim was to make the garden more private which was a fairly straightforward task. We used raised beds for additional height and more mature shrubs and together they gave a great sense of privacy.
We were back to transform their front garden. It was typical of thousands of front gardens all around Britain – full of old or dying shrubs, a patchy piece of grass and a drab path. It really didn’t do anything to enhance their home.
This was a large featureless garden on a hill and the aim was to make the top half level so that there was more usable space for our clients and their children to enjoy. They also didn’t want us to use any steps because of their toddler.
Our brief was to create different levels in the back garden, keeping the top patio as it was. We did this by building a deck which blended in with the existing patio, raised beds, retaining walls and a lower private patio as well as a functional area for the bins, washing line, and a herb garden.
The brief from our client was to create a low maintenance garden that also had a real wow factor. She works long hours and when she is home she wants to enjoy the garden, not spend hours maintaining it.
You may remember we built a deck and jetty over a pond earlier this year, which was a first for us but we really enjoyed the challenge. We even managed to stay dry!
This garden proved that small can be beautiful. Our client wanted a patio, beds, a planting design and a garden that would be easy to maintain. However, she wasn’t able to find a company that could provide both hard and soft landscaping - until she found us on Google.
“To say we are delighted with Rob's makeover of our garden is an understatement. It is utterly superb and has been much admired. Rob's very hard work, craftsmanship and attention to detail has created a tiny paradise which I have trouble believing is actually our garden - particularly bearing in mind how it looked before!”
