Garden Design and Transformation near Uckfield

There were 2 parts to this brief, firstly to build a working area of the garden for compost bins and a shed.  The second was to transform part of the garden into a place of calm where our clients could sit and admire their artwork.

We started with the removal of an enormous  compost heap.

In its place we built 3 compost bins and a hard standing area using self-bonding gravel.

We cleared out the old beds so we could start again from scratch.

It took an enormous amount of topsoil to make the garden level and prepare it for the plants and turf.

One of our patios with a curved timber wall was a perfect way to create a secluded space to sit out and enjoy the garden especially once planted up.

The beautiful, mature trees already added height to the garden and so we chose plants that would thrive under their dappled light and to create a woodland theme. Our clients liked purple and white and so this is what we selected for the planting scheme.

One of our clients’ favourite sculptures was given a secluded spot of its own to draw the eye to it.
