Landscaping in Reigate

This garden proved that small can be beautiful.  Our client wanted a patio, beds a planting design and a garden that would be easy to maintain. However, she wasn’t able to find a company that could provide both hard and soft landscaping - until she found us on Google.

The Story

We always provide a free initial consultation and quotation, and in this case we also drew a plan of our design to help her visualize how the finished garden could look.  After some fine-tuning to make sure she was completely happy and to bring the design within her budget she decided we were the company for her, and we were delighted to take on her landscaping project.

Before work began.

We removed everything from the garden apart from the fence and the mud.

We made a new deeper sub-base for the patio to make it really durable and then laid slate slabs edged with sleepers to tie in with the retaining walls of the raised beds. There wasn’t enough money in the budget to replace the ugly fencing so we covered it up with willow screening which looked very effective.

The dense planting immediately softens the hard landscaping and brings the design to life. Our client wanted a purple planting scheme with the taller ones at the back leading down to ground cover plants which works well in a smaller garden. The slate stepping stones lead to the back gate.

Another angle of the garden which clearly shows the slate patio and the purple slate  we used to cover soil.  The purple slate pieces were laid on a double layer of membrane sheeting to prevent weeds and so reduce maintenance.

We gave the front garden a new lease of life by planting up the existing beds and the 2 raised beds we had made for her.
